Glad he wasnt D A M A G E D
Yeah this is what I mean. Thanos isn't bad. I like his motives and philosophy but the humanizing thing with Gamora and all that didn't work for me. Not every villain has to be sympathetic and most specifically the ones that aren't human. Who really gave a f*** about Thanos emotional well being or how he actually deeply cares for his daughter. Look at Steppenwolf literally destroying world's just to prove his worth to Darkseid and then Darkseid just crushing his head in disgust in the end. Felt more natural than if my man had picked up the head and got emotional . Take that human side away from Thanos character because he isn't one and I'd say he was a great villain.
So you like endgame thanos more than infinity war?
The only impactful thing Lois Lane did in the entire movie, is stopping Superman's roid rage.
shes lois lane wtf is she supposed to do in a superhero movie
When Bruce was talking about Bringing back Clark, they brought back the music from "Martha wont die tonight"
He’s just saying he doesn’t love it how is that a lie bro 😭😭😭😭
i think he's referring to the slow motion criticism

Yea I think that's a problem with a lot of movies is they try to make the bad guy sympathetic. Not to compare the two but the reason Halloween 79 & Halloween 2018 Michael Myers are so well received is because they just made him this creepy force of nature as opposed to Rob Zombie's Halloween which tried to give him a backstory
Also not to triple post but regardless how you feel that Knightmare Joker scene is actually pretty necessary if you know about Zack's original plans for the series
When WonderWoman beheaded Big Step and sent his ass through the portal tho
Crying @ Big Step
So you like endgame thanos more than infinity war?
Isn't that still the same person

Eh, adding a layer of humanity makes an antagonist wayyyy more interesting, to me personally. Instead of it just being: cartoonishly bad guy is bad, because he's bad.
Snyder reused a MoS shot for this
Which shots
I only peeped the flight scene and when he was in the ship

Heath Ledger's joker is still arguably the greatest villain on screen and Thanos had more humanity than him

And Heath had no rhyme or reason he was dead just blowing s*** up lmaoo
Anyone else think Letos joker tries to take too much from Heaths joker?
Imma have to rewatch but I felt like he was tryna use Heath's mannerisms / voice with Mark Hamill's Jokers persona if that makes sense
Isn't that still the same person
No? Endgame thanos was more the Villianous type you described without the emotional or human arc with him. He just wanted to destroy the entire universe in endgame

but by that point we already knew his characterization from the last movie imo

But it's not the same thanos since the one in infinity war died.
During endgame release people were saying they liked infinity thanos more cause of his human characterization

So? Even if that's the case, it doesnt take away from how greatly Thanos benefitted from being a more layered character.

Exactly, and he was a wayyyy less compelling character for it.

IW Thanos had more screentime to do s*** tho and Endgame Thanos had that previous incarnation to compare him to. I think what @Rickon was saying was that Darkseid was just effective cuz he didn't need to be humanized and was still intimidating and threatening
