Yes these fictional children you have invented would rather talk about Pharrell than a Pusha T fan. Good point. Makes sense. Home run

Pusha T also rhymed Alpha-hydroxy with “I’m the real Fonzie” so, big point in his favor here

Clipse have a stronger discography but Juelz and Camron are better rappers than both of em

i would rather talk to them about why they like that sound and feel like they'd be more receptive to it than an insulated guy in his loungeroom mainlining the 'ye' era? children? gen z going on adulthood

Phonte underrated tbf, Little Brother stuff, Foreign Exchange, one of the first rap acts to use forums for buzz (Okayplayer)

Edit: He's probably not top 50 though

Connected is one of my fav album ever. Man I'm ngl I'd put Phonte in my top 50 but even though I'd fight anyone who puts Pusha out of it I get it with Phonte if you feel like he's not worthy of being in it

Yes, but Thug rhymed “ketchup” with “McGregor” and, despite having nothing to do with this conversation, it has to be considered.

The kids who liked that era of production are on this website and they are now 28 years old.

Jim was the weakest link in Dipset. He wasn't even the best rapper in Byrdgang tbh

Pusha alone is leagues better than Cam’ron and Julez put together. Hence why he is still making great music

Funny because I’ve been having this debate. Can somebody be a GOAT if they spent their entire career talking about the same thing with little to no diversity. And this debate revolves around Pusha T.

Yes if you do it extremely well , Push raps about Coke a lot but he’s a product of an era where street life/coke rap and he’s done it better and longer than a lot of his peers. He’s rapped about everything that falls under that umbrella.

What would people actually wanna hear him rap about? Most rappers don’t switch up their content as much as people think.

Pusha T you think its cool that you deal? About as cool as that breeze on a beach in brazil

    Cmon

Every time a n-gga wanna try and turn a profit
Folks rush in, 3 letters try and stop it
    F-B-I-R-S-D-E-A
One letter short but still mother f*ck the D.A.

Can't believe I have to explain this. Yes, we all know how long he has been going for. But talk to casual rap fans from the new generation and they don't know his discog like that. Will be worse with the next gen. We've also seen how his recent stuff has been received, nothing sticks.

Superb career but his name won't be in the history books. We won't bring him up when he has stops releasing music, that's what I am trying to say

But why would anyone go to casual fans of anything to rank or measure any genre or sport or whatever? Especially a 50 deep list. Ask a casual soccer fan, movie goer, basketball fan, etc. to rank a top 50, and witness how incredibly bad the outcome will be.

there are some, and then there are many who ignore that entire run in favour of trying to do anniversary runs on 'darkest before the dawn'

if authentic memphis rap tracks can continue blowing up extremely late on tik tok why shouldn't authentic weirdo neptunes beats with pusha n the whole re-up gang? isn't that more exciting than somebody trying to hype up some depressed the-dream production from a decade ago?

Wow, a 30 second clip went viral and everyone forgot it in 24 hours because another 30 second clip went viral. Such a grasp on history. The SpongeBob dark Memphis wave is very interesting
