Sometimes when you make so much it’s suspicious lol
Is that even legal?
That’s a complete conflict of interest.
i mean its illegal but it doesnt stop them from doing inside trading.
I dont have any problem with Apple charging spotify, Apple has always done their own thing. Go buy an Android if you want to!
absolutely nothing will come from this
wow im a prophet
considering that p much nobody in congress is under 40 and even remotely adept with technology, this wont go anywhere
When google was in congress and this congressman kept asking if google knew where his phone was in the room

i think it's a half plead, half threat
they want to show the govt their doing a lot of good things with their large scale, also kind of hold the opportunities they create as leverage. like "do you really want to fine us and put all of these people in your state out of work?"
"Who doesn't have an investigation at this point, is kind of where we are... But here in the US all 4 companies testifying today are under some form of investigation. Apple is being looked at by the Department of Justice, Amazon is being looked at by the Federal Trade Commission. Facebook and Google are also being looked at, and with Google in particular, we are expecting to see actually, a lawsuit filed against the company as soon as this summer...
"The lawsuit could come from the Department of Justice, which has been taking a look at the company's advertising business, as well as nearly every state's attorney general has signed onto a probe about a year ago... and that's just in the United States by the way... There are a number of similar probes that are happening internationally. We've recently gotten word about Apple being investigated by the European Union. The E.U. has hit Google with more than $9 billion in fines in the past few years, and investigation by the E.U. into Amazon is expected to wrap up probably within the next few weeks. So this hearing is a very public display that could be broad bi-partisan frustration with these companies, but it's certainly not the only or even perhaps the biggest threat that these companies face."
US politicians might be bought, but the EU on they ass

Yeah I kinda see that, they’re just so on the nose about it. Like if someone is making the case that App Store is a monopoly, saying it made a ton of money seems like it just proves that
