Nahhhh 2016 was solid and soundcloud hadn’t fully come into full force yet , and even then the SoundCloud acts of that year were at least interesting

bro Flatbush has always had a lot of cloud rap influence and Maxo’s early mixtapes have a ton of it too wtf???
i don’t think you completely understand cloud rap just because they both throw some Southern influence in there too doesn’t make it NOT cloud rap lol

I mean I'm not denying that there isn't cloud rap influence, but it definitely is not in the same realm of stuff like ASAP rocky and Lil B who are really the true originators of cloud rap.
Like I said, it's definitely its own subgenre, I just called it "trippy wave" because Juicy J came out with Stay Trippy and that was like a pinnacle album of this era...
