Are you referring to Tesuto as an EP? It’s listed as a single that’s why I called it that lol
I was hoping for a full length project
Oh yea I looked again and it says single.
But it’s tracked out and everything
maybe they are transitioning into each other?
I’d love a more complete album on this concept too
Niggas watched soul & came to jazz thread in ktt2 pathetic
Not niggas... me
what do y'all i think i should check out after b****es brew i'm new to the genre but that album slaps
His live fusion, i'd say start with Pangaea and Agharta
hardest s*** i ever heard was miles davis say “if you don’t know what you’re playing, don’t play”
simple but effective quote. completely changed how i saw my instrument playing and approach to theory
reminds me of when Coltrane was asking Miles how he should finish, because he was having trouble knowing where to end.. Miles says to him "take the horn out your mouth"
this s*** is so crazy
I posted this a while back in the thread
albums so heavy

that nigga miles was cold as hell
my mentor told me about how he kicked his own nephew or something like that, out of the band for f***ing up once.
the guy WAS music. still is, his records live on man
Finished Miles Davis' autobiography. Funny how he scoffed at free-form/avant-garde type dudes like Coleman and Schepp
love both of them
But it was definitely cool to learn about Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, both of whom I knew pretty much nothing about. Interesting to hear insights on people like Monk, Mingus, and Max Roach as well
