hip-hop could handle losing diddy because his legacy was just him being a leech off of more talented people, but having jay-Z go out like this would feel different.

he's been so integral to the history of rap in so many ways, it would be like a dark cloud permanently hanging over the head of the genre. it would ruin a lot of beloved songs and memories.

    For real bro

yeah, im the weird one rn

If the artist who made the first rap CD you ever bought has horrible s*** come out about him, you’re gonna feel a way. If you don’t give a f*** or his music didn’t mean anything to you, keep it to yourself but this is an utterly disastrous moment for rap music

Lawyers are scummy and soulless. That ain't news. He's also had plenty of legit cases as well tho so this stuff don't really mean much till we get more details on the actual case

Jay Z holds rap back at this point. Hip hop will be fine - and I genuinely believe better - without him, whether the allegations are true or not.

This in no way takes away everything he’s done for the culture

At the very least, Jay-Z getting called out, finally allows for a reconstruction of what an American Rap Star is suppose to be. Jay is the most American rapper, next to 50 and Em. If you go to any foreign country, and ask them what American Hip Hop is, in their mind, they will picture 50, Em and Jay.

I get it but he needs someone to monitor him online then. I don’t have that much sympathy for someone just because they have poor mental health if you are going to weaponize it whenever people confront you from s*** that YOU say. It’s niggas on here that have their own mental struggles and issues they don’t move the same.. and I know everyone is different, He’s not above anyone here imo sorry.

I hope he gets the help he needs but he needs to spend less time on here for that to happen

I don’t think people should ATTACKING him but I don’t see it as people going out of their way because I’ve seen and been through interactions with him lol I could see why niggas would fire his ass up right back.

Deep down, I think Jay is gonna beat this. There doesn't seem to be any evidence he's like Puff, having freak offs as recent as 2021, and recently putting hands on women, on camera. This isn't about whether or not he did it or not, it's about having to prove it.

Jay has the biggest/most prestigious law firm behind him, ready to take this on. If bro just wanted Jay to pay up outta fear, and thought he'd do it faster if he brought it public, he's a dumb ass. There's gonna need to be substantial evidence, or bro getting embarrassed in court, im afraid.

  • Dec 10, 2024

Nah Hov did that, so hopefully you dont have to go through that

  • Dec 10, 2024

The reputation of the lawyer got me real skeptical. This seems like a hitpiece rather than a legit lawsuit.

Statue of limitations in New York for criminal rape is only max 20 years

New York just had that one year look back on old cases which is where this civil suit came from and why Jay is tryna fight for a criminal

Yea, I think this Buzbee guy is a dumb ass for taking this, this far. Jay wants to take this criminal court to end this dude, and flex his power
