Poolboy QYou’re not getting the big picture of what I’m saying. You think I’m saying we need another Jersey club movenent or something? I think some new tech would revolutionize music altogether. Someone replied saying it would be AI if people could figure out how to use it and I kinda agree with that. I just don’t know if it would be completely taking away the artistic integrity BUT that is what people said about autotune and I’m sure people said that for beat machines and synthesizers at some point.
Respectfully, are you actively making music right now? Do you know how to solder a synth? How to route a synth breadboard? How to use the modern invention Raspberry Pi as an open source sequencer? Do you know what an open source microcontroller board is? How to learn and turn Python code into MIDI commands?Like an Arduino Uno? These are all modern inventions in music
There’s still a lot being discovered and recreated into something new by musicians using old tech because the wheel of music creation is so wide, that we don’t even know all the capabilities of the tools we do have to our disposal. I literally just bought a raspberry pi to build a music server. There’s so much s*** still being invented and learned
