Maybe once a month or every other month to get a trim or get my hair styled, but for the most part I'll wash/style myself. My hair is much healthier now than a few years ago so I can detangle with a mousse or a deep conditioner but the trick is water in some form everyday and find good products for your hair. Every salon should have booking for a consultation and they'll evaluate what your hair could need and set up a plan for you or scour Reddit and TikTok
My favorite brands have been As I Am, Matrix, Cecred, and The Doux
