True but title track is very Drake-esque.
Also Blueprint 2 to Blueprint 2.1…Jay was definitely reacting to the album being deemed a mediocre mess….
You can say Iceman is a more successful follow up off a battle than Blueprint 2 was. But time will tell. Too early.
There’s just so much revisionist history with Jay man because he has a lot of talking heads. But credit to him, he built an ecosystem to accomplish that, for better and worse.

Bobby_96I like Iceman and think it's dope but KTT2 been glazing it like it's the 2nd coming of Illmatic/Ready To Die when it's just a dope Drake album that's very rap/punchline heavy.
Sometimes, I wonder if niggas are in echo chambers because I've been to many spaces on the Internet where people are divided af on the album, thinking it's either amazing or mediocre.
Even my friends in real life who I know listen to Drake told me it was "cool" or that they were mixed on Iceman. And I was glazing it more than they did despite them being bigger Drake stans.
Like I said, I f***s with the album a lot. It's in the top 3-5 range for me when it comes to rap albums of this year. But I think niggas are in denial about its reception. It's not as universally praised as people here think.
