He wanna be added to the next one of these lil freestyles because it will generate more income and notoriety for him lmaooo
Blatant Nasty work
Drake automatically scores a huge W for making Hov come out with a freestyle diss after Iceman.. couldn’t tell me s*** after that, honestly.. “yeah my s*** talking got Jay f***ing Z to freestyle”
Rookie card Joe Budden got Jay Z to freestyle lmaoo
God I hope Ye gets inspired after seeing both Drake & Jay do their thing this year. Need something stronger than Bully man.. one can dream..
He has to go back to completely reinventing every album cycle. I hope the recent Michaelmania reinspires him
I'm 40, just like Drake is about to be. Same generation
I'm tired of ageism in Hip Hop. No other genre does it and I'm starting to think it's encouraged to make black people look dumb and immature
This deserves its own thread fr
Paul one of the few of his time to do the 80s really well. He had those pop smarts
Was surprised when Thurston Moore said that Bowie managed to keep his credibility through the punk era along with Neil, Lou and Iggy.

It's not okay to make fun of someone's gender, race, sexuality, economic status, weight, etc. Doing so will rightfully get you fired from your job.
But for some reason, society has decided it's okay to mock peoples height and age
If you weren't dead/not totally gone from d**** the 80s was SUPER kind to 60s acts lmfao. First wave of boomer nostalgia really
I think the only decade to be as kind to a previous generation was the 2000s to the 8ps ngl
Examples?
Travelling Wilburys I guess but they probably didn't have alot of cred amongst the alternative scene that blew up through the 80s into the 90s
Legitimately unprecedented longevity
Except maybe, like, Nile Rodgers
Who's topping Rough & Rowdy in their 80s
I’m honestly surprised no one’s talking about the other responses lol
Cause their fans are less fanatical and agree those shots were deserved
Do you consider Drake accusing Kendrick of abusing his wife and his kid being his best friends gossip?.
I've never really understood the "gossip" defense from Drake stans because he notoriously loves bringing up people's personal lives in his disses going all the way back to
"Sinatra lifestyle I'm just being Frank witcha where ya think your girl at when she ain't witcha?"
He's always been an equally gossipy rapper why is it bad when people do it in return?
They won't acknowledge this
I think the Game/G-Unit beef is old hat nowadays but IIRC it all started because Game didn’t want to diss Ja Rule and Murder Inc. as a member of G-Unit then 50 cut him off for being disloyal and they were both pissed at each other about that and so on
I think thats relevant when talking about his stance with Drake/Kendrick
cause Game don’t think these rap niggas are actually violent, especially Drake lol. he probably only sees a good rap battle

It’s over with man. seeing my brother in sober recovery from manic bipolar, same person just way more relaxed and trying not to get triggered staying with the fam, work, and wife
it’s over with unfortunately for Ye. he’s surrounded by handlers and luckily it’s black men who actually care this time, Justin Laboy aside

Bowie had one of the shortest fall-offs of all the legends. Maybe, like, 8 years? 86-94? From Outside on, he was pretty well-respected for his creativity, even when not everything hit commercially.

yea you can just tell cause Ye seems super unresponsive now, might laugh and give a one sentence response and just giving niggas one of these after
he might be more “normal” at home where he’s more comfortable around family/friends, but I don’t think we’ll see the same person we were used to publicly again

It's virtually impossible to be in Kanye's mental state and juggle all of his responsibilities successfully while also churning out great art. I think he's capable of releasing another classic, but not with everything going on and the expectation of him dropping regularly. He'll be an artist that drops a random masterpiece in his 50s or 60s.

This is what I am hoping for as well, I get what Valentine saying because it does seem quite over right now, but who knows what the future holds. I could def see him dropping an incredible late career classic & everyone being like

Apparently it can take a while for the meds to even out

The important thing for Ye, right now, should be getting solid routines going, getting his health straight and dropping when he's able. But it seems like he's still 100% about dropping every year-ish, so he needs to find people who will tell him the truth. Establish a clear floor for quality where a certain tier of track cannot drop because it's too trash. Then we can get a regular stream of good albums.
As for a classic, I think that's only going to happen when he gives it time. And right now I don't feel like he's going to give anything that kind of time (TLOP) or discipline (MBDTF).
