I guess you could make a case for vol 1, vol 2 and american gangster being classics but it always felt like a stretch for me especially compared to undeniable classics of their time... they are good albums but a bit patchy here and there, like the batch of projects only stans would call classics, I'm not gonna get mad at it, he's in my top 5 (or 6 depending on the day) but I feel reasonable doubt, blueprint, black album and 4:44 are genuinely a couple echelons above the rest of his discog and everything else is a stretch
