i remember jay elec tweeted “👀” when nick cannon got fired when he did that i knew he was gonna unleash the anti semitism
Oh okay true
im just saying, no one took that seriously and people clowned rosenberg a bit. But I guess that’s because it came from rosenberg tbh
its not about the message, its about the messenger, hot97 fulla culture vultures in disguise.
Much of rap was built upon NOI/FOI/5pr teachings tbh. They been on that type of time since the mid 80s. Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One, s*** even LL Cool J started off on that wave.
Wu Tang Clan was big on that like forreal..."RZA" and "GZA", Supreme Alphabet and Mathematics talk in their songs. Jay Z been on the five percenter tip since he was running with Jaz-O. And there's a reason why Rakim is often referred to as "The God MC". And let's not even get started on Nas lmao
Really none of this is new. Rap was one of the primary methods of getting NOI/FOI/5pr teachings out to black youth. While some rappers later go on to either reject it or not mention as much in their raps, the truth is it is apart of the culture.
Hip hop culture has ditched a lot of ideas and themes throughout the years, but that's the one thing that needs to be kept?
Yeah RZA got some blatantly antisemitic lyrics too
Wu Tang dudes are homophobic af as well
Malcolm X went to Mecca and saw different races pray together. I think any type of racial supremacy is wrong and misguided. I appreciate some of what NOI people do and say but in the end I think Malcolm's post-NOI approach was better.
"Never have I witnessed such sincere hospitality and overwhelming spirit of true brotherhood as is practiced by people of all colors and races here in this ancient Holy Land, the home of Abraham, Muhammad and all the other Prophets of the Holy Scriptures. For the past week, I have been utterly speechless and spellbound by the graciousness I see displayed all around me by people of all colors.
There were tens of thousands of pilgrims, from all over the world. They were of all colors, from blue-eyed blondes to black-skinned Africans. But we were all participating in the same ritual, displaying a spirit of unity and brotherhood that my experiences in America had led me to believe never could exist between the white and non-white."
"During the past eleven days here in the Muslim world, I have eaten from the same plate, drunk from the same glass, and slept on the same rug - while praying to the same God - with fellow Muslims, whose eyes were the bluest of blue, whose hair was the blondest of blond, and whose skin was the whitest of white. And in the words and in the deeds of the white Muslims, I felt the same sincerity that I felt among the black African Muslims of Nigeria, Sudan and Ghana."
"We were truly all the same (brothers) - because their belief in one God had removed the white from their minds, the white from their behavior, and the white from their attitude."
As folks know I’m a huge stan, and I bought the AWT vinyl.
Not gonna hold on to that s***.

Nas has SPOKEN AGAINST antisemitism and homophobia on Life Is Good
He's a real one (btw he openly ditched religion on War Against Love)
More rappers should learn from him
"You blame your own shortcomings on s***and race
The mafia, homosexuals and all the Jews
It's hogwash point of views, stereotypical
Anti-Semitic like the foul words Gibson spewed
And it's pathetic"
In the days of MLK, and Malcolm x, black people weren’t just following one guy. And even among different sides of the coin (integration vs separation) there was a lot of disagreements. There hasn’t been a point in time when black people were all on the same page and there doesn’t need to be, races aren’t hive minds. What should happen though, is a reorientation of black society to promote further education and hieghtened support of black businesses as a whole
It’s impossible to support small businesses period when small businesses in general dying out. The problem is that they just don’t have the margins large corporations do to deal with unexpected crisis or for the lower shelf prices that corporations use to stay competitive.
It’s good to support black owned business but it’s not going to be enough
Sometimes it’s incredible to me how people can just f***ing fumble their bag on Twitter. I have a regular ass office job and even I know if I say some out of pocket s*** on social media I have the potential to f*** that all up
Weren’t people roasting rosenberg for being upset over possible antisemitism in the farakhan-esque lyrics on his last album too
Yeah but Rosenberg is a cornball and culture vulture. He's the exact kinda Jewish guy rappers are talking about when they say that Jewish execs and personalities in the entertainment pimp black culture for their own gain
He wasn't necessarily wrong to point it out, but he was the wrong person to point it out if that makes sense.

i remember jay elec tweeted “👀” when nick cannon got fired when he did that i knew he was gonna unleash the anti semitism
When he did that I started laughing tbh I was like "Oop now y'all got this nigga started"

He didn't know what he was talking about
I found it embarrassing that he pointed out the wrong lyrics and then backed off when Jay confronted him
Went out like a b****
