Vinyl showed up, nothing that really wowed me but it’s definitely a fun album gonna be a summer essential. Love the vibes and energy it radiates but I definitely wish there was a bit more to chew on

But when you have a discog like Janelle that's when it becomes tricky

I wonder if their thought process behind the interludes was to make suites like archandroid and electric lady

honestly didnt need the first four tracks, i loved the reggae part of the album

need yasiin to remix one of these tracks

liking the album. It's a far cry from the debut but I can appreciate the summer vibes and I love how I can really hear Janelle in this (arrangements, the general style) as opposed to Dirty Computer which sometimes sounded like a Prince/Max Martin collab sung by Janelle to me.

that last part is interesting. i feel like there's always shades of prince in her music although a joint like Make Me Feel is much more overt. which songs did you get a Max Martin feel from tho? Screwed?

Wish she'd sell that pleasure tee in red and white (or even white and red), would probably get one.

Electric Lady will always be peak Janelle for me lol I know a lot of ppl say Archandroid but I feel like she tapped into a bit of everything on EL and love everything about that record
