nocommentGood thread op people dont seem to have really get it lol. I dont completely agree though, i feel like at a certain point, how do you distinguish "proper therapy" from "brainwashing"? What type of therapy could actually rewire someones brain (eg a paedophile or serial killer) to stop them from committing these acts? I imagine it would surely be very intrusive. Should we really be f***ing around with s*** like that? If a system like this was introduced, imagine society introduced new laws that required you to go get therapy. Basically this is a whole can of worms bro lol
yes these are the proper questions to ask. like ive said, im not a therapist and i don't know what goes into determining these things, but these are the things that have to be looked into and demand further scrutiny

You can call a rehab facility or social housing all you want. Doesn’t matter if they’re in a 10x6 cell or a full house with access to a shared park or whatever your ideal social housing is.
You’re putting them there because they committed a crime and you’re not allowing them to leave whenever they want.

OP clearly meant jails/prison as in the modern definition and symbolism.

The dictionary isn't a proper representation of language. if i say jail, you've been socialized to know what i mean, same where if i say rehab, you have an idea of what I mean and how they differentiate.

I gave OP several opportunities to say he’d keep the idea of jail but base it entirely on rehabilitation and not on making a profit and fundamentally change how prisons work.
He insisted it wouldn’t be jail and it’d be “social housing/rehab facilities”
