Wtf is jai paul's day job? He can't be living off his music

I mean he’s been sampled by 3 big artists, had music featured in GTA V & FIFA 20, signed to a music label which probably gave him a huge advance considering there was a bidding war for his signature. Consistent online streams. Also, rumour is that him & his brother have ghost produced & wrote for big artists in the industry throughout the years. AK definitely has. Safe to say music is most likely his only source of income.

GTA licenses songs for a couple grand. Same probably applies to FIFA. The samples are deep album cuts. I doubt he could live 10 years from that. Ghostwriting however is more likely. It would be cool to figure out which songs he wrote. However, why should a pop dude ghostwrite? Why not write openly? There is no taboo of writing for pop and r&b singers.

I think both of them are very conscious of their discography. It’s why every release is perfectly timed, placed and executed. I assume anyone who needs to work with them knows how to get in touch. Like, Miguel took a picture with Jai & AK in their studio while working on Flesh yet only AK was credited. Sure Jai could’ve just sat back and watched but in an era where credits are handed out like candy, it’s odd his name wasn’t mentioned hence my point. They’ve also got some big investments from Muz Azhar and other things which play a factor that I’d rather not share on a public forum.

I think someone discovered that the stems for Lorde’s Homemade Dymanite such as the drums & kicks we’re almost identical to Mumbai.
