underachieverlil secret sounds like i heard it before on this album
i mean its cool but really it gets so repetitive and monotonous
not just a slight delivery switch up or some cool vocals on this album
I love the instrumental tbh and we all had a little joint we wanted to keep on the low. Vocal inflection didnt change much but I did feel the sincerity in the lyrics

And he didn't take the best qualities from either of them.Jack named dropped so much that he made me feel like listening to those songs instead of the damn album.
For nearly the whole album this guy was using barely any vocal changes and kept it monotone the entire time. (Drake)
If it wasn't for beat changes and production I wouldn't know we were on a new song.
The songs where he did use his voice were the most interesting.

he really just needa switch it up a bit sometimes and it could be real good
production is already amazing but he really needs some work on his vocals and get a bit more creative with the flows

May 6, 2022·1 replyHe's missing meaning and depth in his lyrics. It's not even what he talks about that's the issue. It's the fact that it feels so shallow. Even early Drake made the relationships he talked about feel real, and his bars felt like he was talking to that person. Jack just doesn't emulate that enough, and it feels like he's almost acting.
Honestly, people say he needs ghost writers, but idk if that's the problem. Drake, who gets a ton of flack from his ghost writer fiasco, has an insane pen especially when it comes to writing about his past with a lot of depth and emotion. Jack doesn't inject a lot of emotion into his stories at all imo.
