Idc this beat is so good the drums knock so well

  • I wish this beat hit harder during the sample part and I felt like jack wasted a lot of beat…also wouldn’t have minded if the tempo was a bit faster too

The little horn line during the chorus is great

  • Apr 8, 2022

song is mid but remined me how good glamorous is

  • Apr 8, 2022

Song is ass. That beat and sample were too good and he somehow wasted it

  • BALLS

This a repeat of ZEZE tbh. Hype snippet mid song

    That's TikTok in a nutshell.

  • DoubleO 5

This his best single he’s ever had, but he need to switch up the flow on his verses cause it’s the same on every song

Facts. He can't write a hook to save his life either. All the budget he has from Atlantic and they can't get him writers for hooks.

Breh should've just copied Drake like he started to.

He's like a Drake lite but he just keeps wasting beats.

It's a massive insult to Drake to call this white man Drake lite.

I'm not even a Drake fan like that but I agree.

But you see where I'm coming from. He clearly trying to find that formula

Beat is basic. Hook is lazy. Verses ara somehow even worse. The only good thing about it is the sample and he manages to waste it.

This is the kind of song you drop as part of an album so people can skip it. You don't highlight this kind of mid by making it a single.

  • Man i really love this joint
Sum about flow of second verse reminds me of vintage TI

I can see Drake's influence in his candences but he isn't nearly as good at making music as Drake and that's just the fact. People keep bringing up how women like him and stuff and yes, Drake has always had to his advantage but more than anything else, Drake's music has always been undoubtable, that's why when women told men about his music, the men also f***ed with it.

Jack's music is just stale as f***. He needs to get with Lil Nas X to hook him up with hooks and his producers. He can flourish on beats with a lot more character but stripped-back beats like this only expose how inadequate he is at making songs.

Kinda hope dude goes away if this the best he got.

He got gassed all the way up.

Dont get me wrong, what's popping and Tyler herro were good.

But I thought he'd level up from there. Hated his album. Pretty sure imma hate this one too.

He had the sauce. Why all these dudes dropping the ball when they get it LITERALLY HANDED TO THEM

Chance was supposed to be a superstar.

Everyone was on harlow's nuts for a whole year and a half. He has no business dropping this kind of f***ing mid

And I know that c***gets on here time to time.

He tweeted about being the best of his generation and dropped the massive mid that was Nail Tech. He posted the snippet to this song, Twitter hyped it the f*** up (like they do with anything concerning him these days) and he drops this new single that's mid as well.

I feel like he's being really gassed up by everything around him and he's feeding really deeply into the social media hype. Hype is great but that doesn't last. If the music isn't quality enough to match the hype, the hype will eventually die down.

So, far, he's 0/2 with his new album. I don't f*** with any of the singles he's dropped so far and Nail Tech sucks but it's somehow better than this new single.

he's just trying really hard for a hit. like everything about him feels very calculated. he seems to have a very specific goal in mind for where he wants to be in his career without the real talent or ideas behind it. he's boring ... he makes the music you play in the background of a party that you're having an ok time at. nothing memorable at all

he wants to be on a kanye level with none of the creativity and a drake level with none of the hype/personality. like he's just expecting to be there without the years of work.

  • dardy cinq

    nah it was

It really wasn't. I, along with some other people, called it in the thread that got made about the single. It was mid. You could tell. The chorus was way too flat and the beat was way too skeletal.

I didn't wanna judge too harshly then because I didn't know what the end-product would be but it ended up not being good as well and now we're here.

It's weird because Glamorous was a REALLY GOOD single. The production was laid back but it was a lot more elegant and Fergie's singing and rapping on the song made it what it was. I don't know how Jack hears that and makes something this low-quality from it.

Him planning out his career is great and I'm glad he has that mindset this early but like you said, it's all worth nothing without the actual talent and gift for songcraft, which he really lacks.

He showed some promise with the singles from his last album but this album hasn't improved on any of those performances.

Not to circle back to Drake again but at this point in Drake's career, he had already established himself as a hit-maker and a lyricist. He was giving us timeless hooks, verses, songs and projects that we still look back on today.

Jack just seems like he's in the middle of a deep ocean threading water with no idea of what to do or where to go next.

I really hope these singles aren't an indication of how the album will be because if he drops a mid sophomore album, there'll be some well overdue discussions that need to be had.
