A Madlib or Alchemist produced Cole album will s*** on a Freddie album subject matter wise and technical wise.

Freddie is one of my favorite rappers but content wise his range is limited compared to J cole. Any non Madlib or Alchemist album of his isn’t beating FHD

Both have pros and cons tbh. Having weekdays off kinda lit for running errands and going to places that might be too packed on weekends. But socially weekends off is better

man that song used to make me cry as a freshman in high school like why he doing her like that??? and I hadn’t even had a girlfriend yet lmao. this nigga a legend. it’s why I also don’t understand the hate for Sideline Story, that album got amazing juxtapositions. Playing Lights Please back to back with Lost Ones is a trip

    Its the way he writes

Boldy has a way with words, not many people like that

Well yeah he is a better lyricist than all big 3 but big 3 better at making music

lol I gotta give it to J Cole. As a North Carolinian I have never had my phone blow up with so many different people in different cities telling me they just saw a celebrity🤣

ngl i dont really like albums that you gotta listen to from start to finish. i prefer jumping around thats how rap was traditionally.

while i have grown to love this album (232 streams so far), i can completely understand the feeling that this album should feel differently based on the music he’s given us in the last 6 years leading up to this album

if it were up to me, the off-season (moved up on my list because of TFO) and MDL would not exist at all and TFO would’ve been a double album consisting of records from MDL, TOS & TFO. two separate albums released in two separate weeks

Growing up with Ye and Lupe as my favorite artist I never intuitively thought about shuffling an album but ima have to give it try now that I’ve heard this one from top to finish a few times
