I'm sorry but I do not like Two Six man
Definitely one of the weakest on the first disk
i shuffled the album on my 2nd and 3rd listens
waaaaay more enjoyable experience. i dont think there’s a bad song on the album now. i should’ve shuffled on first listen like i normally do
you’re in here talking about me baiting while being the type of guy to shuffle on first listen LMAO
I'm reading the comments on this twitch stream, and everyone in the chat is complaining about the beat switches and Cole singing.
The Cole fans and normies hate it
i have a theory that this nigga didnt really start working on this fr until 2020 and that he’s just a liar
Honestly, anything is possible
@Silas idk what my top 5 is but The Let Out is locked on there. One of the best things he’s done in a long time
like this s*** isnt rocket science, the whole song is talking from people’s perspective, like what are we doin here lmao
niggas just bored on the internet and want to to farm likes so they keep establishing they hold no prejudices in their entire walk of life to random people online lmao
Who are your other 2?
Dwayne Michael Carter and Drake
Spot 4 and 5 can alternative between like 6 different rappers
Proof it's ass
Ella Mai album intro already better than both discs
J Cole has always been a safe option and I don't mean that as a slight. If all three guys in the big 3 are purists, Cole was the most devoted to the playbook and that's how he got fans who were endeared by that commitment, while the other two were more open to experiment.
hearing this album in full actually really shows me what my issue with cole's growth has been and exactly why i've said before he needs an EP to push him - cole is actually not a purist, he's a fence sitter. He can't double down on anything. He went in the direction of hyper-minimal purist rap and got critiqued for it so he flipped back and tried to make more commercial music while staying true to his formula but then got critiqued for that so then he went and made something way more commercial and mainstream. People then had different critiques so he hopped back and made something that's a weird in between. He needs to take an actual direction unapologetically. I actually really enjoyed the hyper-minimal purist rap direction he took on 4YEO and I think that would have been a really unique direction for someone of his stature in the industry to take. Instead he felt insecure with misguided critique of it coming off of an essentially semi-mainstream crossover success (2014FHD) and couldn't stick the course. this over-bloated, unguided album is the logical end result of being unable to put his weight behind something
You better off posting Fantano
I honestly hope all the rappers from the blog era that still drop get inspired to drop some new s*** that’s as good as their mixtapes cause these new niggas suck and will not get better
Not a perfect project but much better than Kendrick or Drake’s recent output.
Some great storytelling tracks
