yall be doing too much sometimes

  • Takotchi

this album wipes its ass with born sinner lol

Born Sinner actually has replay value tho; not all Cole projects have that

We'll see how this one goes

Wale consistently released hits that people in real life actually listened to AND enjoyed

Cole had Power Trip & Mr. Nice Watch

This is just cap. I hear crooked smile and no role models all the time still

That’s fine. I get it but it’s one of those things to me like know who you’re dealing with before it drops you know? Like if he dropped a country album or some s*** I’d be like damn I was not expecting this but all of this was def what I expected it to sound like with a few surprises here and there which were nice

also bro people HATE when mainstream artists experiment 100x more than they say they do, i get why they play it safe and try dial in their sound to the maximum they can.. The Let Out is barely experimental they're acting like he dropped a noise power electronics song

most interesting part of Cole’s career is how he’s consistently only released mid but somehow convinced the next gen that he’s their OG & should be respected when he was always Jae Millz tier

His releases have cleared there's and their releases have cleared many others, mid has really lost all meaning

He was born on a military base and went to college. Higher floor and upward mobility. Don't nitpick man I'm not interested. He was a dork and a jock and says as much

he also says his mom was an addict

that he was living in a different families apartment and still owes Sallie Mae student loans until this day to attend that college. attending college isn’t some middle class check mark LOL

he’s clearly said that his dad left his life as a kid and he grew up poor in Fayetteville until his mom met his step father and by then it didn’t really change much and actually made matters worse cause it is what triggered her addiction and he ran away to New York to escape all that

but i guess him and Chance had the same life

ngl i’ve met plenty of Cole fans in my life, but none of them would ever identify as hip hop fans, maybe just 1 or 2 of them

100% and they would’ve just called him Kendrick lite or something for even attempting something left field for his standard. I do get people having high expectations for the album and I will not call someone wrong for not living up to it but I don’t think anyone was going into a J Cole album thinking it was about to about to be avant garde

How people come to conclusions on what an album is & it’s not even been 24 hours is crazy to me.

None of my concern brother. We were talking about who J Cole is and I used Chance and Logic as comparison points. You seem to want to litigate his Wiki bio. Enjoy yourself
