    somebody gotta explain how The Villest came about because that's the same beat as the erykah badu/alchemist joint that came out last year. did he hear the song and just request to rap over it? how long ago was this song made?

    erykah used an alchemist beat from 1999

    flylo also used the sample on duality

    so i assume its just cole homaging/pointing to the alchemist beat

    The production is really vibrant and expansive on that album in a way it hasn't been since imo
