really enjoying the project. I love that he’s exploring that classic J. Cole sound mixed with something new on songs like SAFETY, Poor Thang, Legacy, Drum n Bass, Lonely at the Top, The Villest, Old Dog, Life Sentence, Man Up Above (sheesh), and the whole world is the Ville

I’m not mad at the album man, genuinely enjoying this and there’s so much more to unpack as more listens happen. bumping this s*** all day

I think this album will age really well, once the expectations of a post beef album and s*** like that fades. I think the concept could be a lil stronger and Only One is a hard listen for me, but after two full listens this feels like a top 3 Cole for me. Consistent to who he is and what he's been aiming for

Realizing Old Dog paying homage to Petey Pablo Raise Up. I love the second half in that regard, Hip-hop love letter fr.
