I think at worst it’s a good album, but the problem is this was worked on for a decade and touted as his retirement magnum opus, so it being just good is kind of a negative thing

There are bright spots for sure but also all of the negative hallmarks that exist on every Cole album

Hopefully we get a deluxe version where he adds Jelly Roll to The Let Out

The let out is one of the better songs on here. I understand it’s hated because of what it is stylistically but yeah as a song. Of course…better is relative

Hating is much more meat munching. You wouldn’t understand that though since meat munching is like breathing for you.

Legacy

Used to think Cole was great and Nas was dope in the 90/2000’s

They’ve just got unbelievably stale and struggling to say anything of substance. The issue is they don’t realise it themselves though
