I agree with this. The last 3 albums he did were concept albums which is a big reason to why didn’t see a need for features. It’s probably just easier to make a concept album with little to no features. However this next album I think will be more themed than a concept which will give him ability to branch out and grab a couple features if he chooses to do so.

i think depends what he will talks about in the main theme a political album could spark huge convo and if done correctly will finally get that critical reception that cole has never gotten even.

I love concept albums but honestly I hope Cole just says f*** it on this s*** and just makes dope music from top to bottom. Like I dig the past 3 albums but I just want him to be able to explore outside of the box and not stick to a full on concept.

And also imagine if Cole made a concept album out of the Ppwer Trip, Stay, Premeditated Murder, and Dreams series would’ve been the greatest concept album of all time

Exactly. Hes actually a great producer, but he needs outside assistance (features and beats). All the Greats did. He proved he could do it with barely outside help with 2014 FHD already regardless
