"He's fallin' apart, but we deny it
Justifying that half ass s*** he dropped, we always buy it
When he tell us he a genius but it's clearer lately
It's been hard for him to look into the mirror lately"
I don't agree with his criticism for Kanye, think he was just on some close-minded old head s***, intimidated by how different Yeezus was.
But I do love this song, the 2nd and 3rd verses in particular. He sounded passionate and genuine, and made some really clever points about success and self-worth.
people still talk about pablo but no one remembers cole's latest albums
The only Cole album I hear about in real life is FHD
These lyrics if anything goes well with Kanye’s current musical state (Ye + JIK) It’s laughably ironic for Cole to say some s*** like that about Yeezus and TLOP, two of Ye’s album that are arguably better than anything he’s ever put out
yeah if he would've came with these bars last year or this year it would make a lot more sense.
everything that lead up to tlop was goat af tho. the wiz beef, yeezy season 3 and the memes lmfao
i remember waiting all night to download tlop on /mu/ and the album cover was changed to this

yeah i like that song a lot as well
but cole can get on his high horse s*** now and again when its not really his place
I like J Cole music. Kinda whack how he dissed Kanye when he was going through his mental breakdown with that no prophets video. Basically kicking a man when he Is down, and trying to say Kanye wouldn't make anything as good as his old stuff. lame af to be real
yeah i like that song a lot as well

He implied that Kanye is fake and insecure, which is the furthest thing from the truth, think he was just exaggerating in an attempt to tell a good story.
A lot of that verse was ironic too. Cole's peak was his mixtape era, and he sorta rode the new gen waves with KOD imo.
It really is weird how willing you guys are to hold Ye’s d*** in y’all mouth over a simple opinion
The sad thing is that even though TLOP is half-assed (at least on the lyrical side), its still better than anything Cole ever put out

overall he def peaked with his mixtapes
most of his solo albums just really lose steam for me after a few months after they came out.
i thought KOD was a solid effort , but after a few weeks i never had a desire to go back to it.
nothing was really engaging enough. which i think is one of cole's main problems, if you really look into it he's really not saying anything special.
he still got some songs i really love tho
and J-Cole’s discog has me half-asleep
Cmon g its 2019. These jokes are such low hanging fruit lol
kanye stans get hurt anytime someone suggests one of his albums is anything less than a masterpiece
Lol honestly I like TLOP but its on the lower half of his discog and his last two albums been trash. Don't generalize for us all

No one can complain about the lyrics on Real Friends, NMPILA and Saint Pablo though. That's Ye at his best.
Only One came out a year prior and that's a super focused and emotionally deep song that someone like Cole can only dream of making.
People need to understand that Kanye has purposefully simplified his lyrics when he started getting into rock music and touring with bands like U2 and The Rolling Stones.
The only exceptions were MBDTF and WTT which included boom bap elements on some songs.
Lyrical rap just isn't as effective for stadiums. Remember Kendrick did an intimate tour for TPAB and then said he's done performing that album.
Stop OD’ing. There’s only like three songs on the entire album with s*** lyrics.
All of them have some s***ty lyrics
Except ultra light beam and 30 hours

Exactly, when it comes to Cole there are a few dope cuts on every album and the rest is ehh. Even FHD, the album that ppl swear by from him, had some filler to me.
Tbh even Ye's so called "shitty lyrics" are funnier and have more charm than a lot of Cole's cringe/tryhard bullshit.

What song is it?
I think Born Sinner was my fav, but I find it disappointing that he rapped over classic Kast and Tribe beats like it was a Datpiff mixtape.

idk theyre pretty tied in cringe lines
