    FEAR, The blacker the berry, Wesley theory, the heart part 5. I could keep going, all songs with great conceptual rap songs. And he got even more storytelling songs that are just as good to where anyone should see why he's placed as one of the greatest in that category

    Thank you for furthering a discussion on a musical forum about music. I agree with you. I dont got him as the greatest but I do greatly enjoy his work. I wonder what would happen if many other lyricist and rappers were provided better access to resources like producers and more freedoms which gets into record labels

    he has had plenty of freedom to be him his whole career and he is used that to the greatest

    but to me personally there are better rappers that have operated on MANY MORE RESTRICTIONS than Kendrick Lamar. That cant not be mentioned when you are comparing because their mixtape material often clear much of his commercial work and he does less mixtapes or damn near none because he doesnt need mixtapes to have freedom outside of an oppressive label

    How does one even define a conceptual/storytelling song in rap though? Because by its nature, rap is conceptual. Like I wouldn't call Wesley's Theory a conceptual/storytelling song but it has a concept and subject matter

    lot of yall rewriting history about FHD cause yall just don't like Cole which is fine.

    EYE am telling you as a nigga that was both outside and actively DJing around my campus that year it came out, FHD on release was loved by everyone. It was regarded as a classic back then and it's still loved now as one of the best albums of that decade.

    Whether you personally liked it or not is null in void to how that album is looked at from the masses through this decade. It is indeed a classic
