Is there a reason why J Cole raps like he's a gangsta rapper? What's with all these gun bars and gun sound effects in his songs lately? I ain't listening to J Cole for this s***.

Plus, I don't give a f*** about lyin' once I learned these guys fraud

The only people I've seen talking about it are Dreamville cult members and I've yet to get a genuine unbiased reaction to the mixtape.

Personally I think it's just okay. But I'm probably not the best person to go to for opinions on Cole because I haven't been blown away by a single thing he's done since KOD.

He raps well can't take that from him. But I've yet to feel any desire to return to his projects. I've been looking at J Cole as a rapper for 2K and Madden niggas for years now.

offseason and this are better than KOD

Yeah like 3 dreamville d*** eaters posted his Kendrick diss other than that I’ve seen nobody bumping this s*** or even mentioning it outside of saying his diss was weak. I’ll probably peep one day

That's ultimately how I've been feeling about Cole since KOD forreal. Like yeah he ain't bad. I can't say that he can't rap. But I never feel compelled or in a rush to peep his music. It'll be there. I see the way his fans react to his projects as if he just dropped a magnum opus, I go to check it out, and I'm just left saying ".....Okay?" Like I swear I've heard much better from this dude in the early-mid 2010s lol

Battle rappers use a lot of gun bars
I’m guessing since he’s trying to be more competitive lately he’s being influenced by battle rap

Cole made his own song, Kendrick rode futures wave

Exactly!! Of course it was going to stream well, it’s 2 iconic artists on a diss track along with an iconic producer.. I mean when you add those items to a song it’s bound to make a big splash. IM NOT saying it wasn’t good.. I’m just saying other than it being a direct attack, the people who are presenting it to us play a large role in the success of the track. If you had a B list producer with 2 C list rappers on the SAME beat.. it wouldn’t have made the noise it did.

Yall will really sit here and say Coles disses were weak but other people could say same thing or or less and you would say they won when its someone you don't like.

Wish he had dropped the mixtape without the diss tbh

Because the diss is easily one of the worst songs on the project next to Fever and Its overshadowing the rest of the project, which has some great songs like Crocodile Tearz, Huntin Wabbits, Pi (Daylyt and Ab-Soul stole the show though) and 3001.
