    Anybody who makes a big ceremonious thing about their departure is the least likely to actually follow through with it. The people who actually retire just disappear one day into the wind without a word I.e. Frank

    Ain't nobody listening to that fall off s*** man. The only reason his shows have been selling is because of his discography up until probably the off season. If I was him I would just hang it up and mentor a young artist

    And maybe this explains why rap has been such a dull spot for me this year with some exceptions.

    I hate rappers.

    The gimmicks. The constant back n forths. The gossiping. The business contracts and niggas being told a thousand times how bad they are and STILL signing them s***s. The ones turned streamers because there's barely any money in the rap s***s. The "ooooo I'm gonna retire guys, I promise yall I'm gon' retire swear to god. This is the last one........yall I'm dead serious this is gonna be my last album........SIKE! I'm just playing I'm not gon retire" spiel that's been done. A. MILLION.TIMES.AND.A.THOUSAND.

    Just don't f***ing say it for promo my nigga just release your F***ING music lol.

    In the words of the prophet known as Based God himself: All they do is rhyme words, such typical rappers.

    Jay Drake Kanye all were building a trajectory where mainstream rap was somewhat elevating above a lot of this s*** (putting aside Jay invented the fake retirement) and then Keef and Traplanta happened and reset us to the point Ye and Drake play into a lot of this themselves

    Chance was next in that trajectory of breaking typical rap behaviors and well we saw how that turned out

  • The music really self-explanatory, he just wants to be free from the persona he created and get to be creative

    Cole is the best out the 3 as far as performing goes. His ability to connect and embody his music is the experience he me interested in him doing more stuff live

    The Fall Off was a great album imo, better than a lot of s*** lately. Cole has some really good music but he’s also got some garbage out there, just like every artist tbh. I’d be excited to see him add some more of that quality to the discography, just to outweigh the trash even more lol. What’s up with the amount of hate on here though?

    One of the worst album rollouts, tours, and “retiring” gimmicks we’ve ever seen.

    Genuinely horrendous

    The driving around a Honda fake humble s*** ahead of this album drop shocked me lol. Was so tacky and insulting (and I was kinda hype for album too)
