I mean maybe
But they had good concepts
The music wasn't there....esp KOD. Had it been free from s***ty hooks and gotten outside producers like this album, it woulda been his magnum opus. Such wasted potential
Crine losers still trying to push the narrative that 4YEO and KOD are bad albums because they are scorned for their favorite artist

They are and a nigga named Cole World not the best person to refute that.
I'd say Casuals ---> FHD
Traditional hip hop fans? ---> Off Season
But that's the general pattern I noticed, ofc it can be the other way too
hmm idk if i can 100% agree on this
feel like even oldheads would appreciate FHD over Off Season
Sample in Close is the same sample used in Wayne's Do it Again song.
Know I heard it somewhere before
Omg you’re right. God all of those remastered streetrunner songs are incredible, we didn’t deserve those

Yeah I’m kind of an old head and I definitely do. Since then he’s been uninspired and I don’t think this album changed that even tho it tried to

FHD is a better album than The Off-Season. It's more complete and more properly fleshed out.
Like I said before, The Off-Season has more of a mixtape feel to it. It's more of an appetizer before he gives us the full course meal (The Fall Off) and there's nothing wrong with that. J. Cole accomplished what he set out to accomplish with this project.

Anyone saying those albums are 'bad' is corny. KOD didn't fully work for me but I appreciate it as something he wanted to make. And FHD is a classic, full stop.
