But I haven't heard anyone talk about KOD or 4YEO since 2 weeks after they dropped

That sounds more like what Cole fans do when they say every likes Cole. When people are still talking about his albums like 4YEO or KOD I can tell you from personal experience it's not to praise them. Not hating it's just what I hear, only hear people call FHD a classic and I'm not just saying that because I agree.

It doesn't matter if most people hate it or love it. If you love it just keep enjoying it and some of us will wait for the next one

I like Cole a lot and my friends f***ed heavily with KOD
Anytime he drops that's the first thing I'm listening to and It'll always be like that

But 2014FHD was my introduction to Cole and it was a great layered concept album
Since that unfortunately his albums were super monotone

4YEO has some beautiful bars and stories but no one is playing songs from it anymore

same thing with KOD... I was bumping it literally b2b2b2b2b for weeks after it dropped I liked a lot about that album bc it had some more standout songs that work good alone. But even with this no one is talking about KOD like they do about songs like Humble or DNA

With Middle Child as a "single" I thought this album will be more like Cole saying "fuck you" to the haters and dropping an album you cannot forget about

turns out it's just another super well crafted rap album that's going to stay only with the biggest fans and the rest of the world will forget about in 2 months

I can't even say yet. I enjoyed it more than I did KOD on first listen but I feel like it won't have much replay value in the long run but we'll see brah

J. Cole stans set an extremely low bar for Cole

If you know someone could be an MVP in the NBA you don't applaud him for being a 6th man even tho that's a big accomplishment and more than most of us could ever achieve

If you know someone is a GLeague player but becomes a bench player you praise him

That's why Cole gets that much more hate than rappers like Gunna

People know he could be an MVP but he keeps dropping 12ppg a season

Even tho Cole drops great albums I just expect more from him
