NICEMANI need to rewatch the Sopranos, but I wasn't feeling it that much the first time. Like I recognize it's (sometimes blatant) influence on BB but I feel like I enjoyed BB more
Mad Men had the writing of characters on lock but I will admit it can be boring af
i like sopranos more tbh. bb a good show but s5 meant for me it’d never be as good as sopranos. i like bcs more and mad men is really boring. i know a lot of shows are white guy realises he’s an a****** but that show really is the most cliche retelling of that story

Bro I’m not even black. White people like me (half Hispanic but if a cop pulls me over he’s going to assume I’m white so this applies to me) need to step the f*** up and call it out more. The surface layer is artistic tradition pillaging, but the underlying context of trap/drill being a communication of a lifestyle and culture that none of these execs profiting have ever even come close to makes it so much worse. All this while young black men in rap are dying consistently from the same lifestyle while white kids in the suburbs rap along to their pain… I’m rambling but it’s just so blatantly dehumanizing
