Biggie took King Tee's rapping style and advanced it to a much higher level.

You could hear Big Daddy Kane’s influence in both BIG and Pac tbh

HOV could never compare to BIG

I’m convinced the only reason Jay went to the stratosphere the way that he did was because BIG died

    I can see that.

Jay-Z tried so hard to copy LAD's formula 3 times on Vol. 2, Vol. 3, and Blueprint 2 and he still didn't come close in any of the three attempts.

Vol 1 was the most blatant bad boy attempt

like Big's number one for me. idk i listen to rap all day every day and no one from New York, no one comes close to doing what he did on the mic. the way he put words together was effortless. you can say this or that about discographies but one song from BIG was worth whole albums from most rappers.

I've listened to all of Jay's music and it doesn't compare. jay thought of it as a hustle and his music lacked emotion. you can't show me a song i've listened to them all repeatedly
