disagree
he has the greatest discog ever but at this point i'm legit having a hard time imagining him taking care of himself on a daily basis
wild how he's getting so much response when he's so public about all this and airing out the names of peoples hes speaking with
pretty much everyone he's spoken to today would have known he was doing this and theyre still quickly responding and getting on the phone with him

he took care of music
now he's a billionaire
there's other battles like contracts
this is ye don't forget
What if Ye gets Drake and Kendrick to squash whatever they have between them but STILL has problems with Drake
What’s funny is that he thinks people care about what he’s tweeting about. People are just waiting for this to all go bad.
bc he said in 2001 that he's gonna be the biggest rapper ever (on video)
and he said in 2013 tha the's going to be the tupac of fashion
you have to learn manifesting and kanye's career makes a lot of sense. he's speaking to you as the richest rapper in the world rn
Kanye's success in the past doesnt necessitate success in the future
we just see and focus on his successes instead of ignoring his failures because he quickly stops talking about his failures and replaces them with other stuff
I would LOVE for him to succeed at this
but I just cant see how hes going to convince labels to change the way they operate
in my mind if he really wanted to make a difference he'd set up his own proper independent label or set up a crowdfunder y combinator platform himself and force them to change through competition
Kanye bigging up obscure white artists/deisgners >>>> Kanye bigging up old white billionaires
What happened to the presidential election
are you saying that he moved on from that and this is his new thing. and that in three days he won't give a s*** about this either.

fans don't care much about music biz tho. average reply to that "my kids will own my masters" tweet had no idea what it meant
He ain’t trying to get MJ’d
lol I feel like if he was gonna get got like that it would've happened a long time ago

but thats where me and you differ
i've always seen kanye as the guy who says something absolutely insane at the beginning and than meets at the middle
tbh i think its the same thing for president. i think there's no way he gets elected this year, but he'll act like it, and it's a play for what happens 4, 8 years down the line
i see nothing different with this. if you see how kanye operates he starts big and works down from there
who are all these names he keeps dropping? like he expects us to know these people
I would agree if he didnt have a history of saying things like 'I dont take advice from people less successful than me'
and even so setting billionaires as the metric is way way too high. Lucien Grainge isn't even close to being a billionaire, Rob Stringer isn't a billionaire, most board members at vivendi won't be billionaires etc
there are plenty of people who have the power and are more likely to change things than the billionaires
i dont get wym by ppl having the power to restructure things independent of the billionaires who run vivendi
if vivendi owns umg (u said earlier they were selling it or smthn like that? so this may become irrelevant if they do) then umg can't jus go change how it dispenses contracts w/o consulting w/ their owners cus the contracts are integral to umg's business model
idk if this right thread talk about this but having 5 companies owning 90% of all media ownership is f***ed
