Gang banging is being in a gang, sometimes if you’re from a neighborhood the opposite gang is gonna treat you like you’re from that gang whether you’re in it or not and talking s*** is gang banging, hand signs is gang banging, fist fighting is gang banging not just killing people.
For example Tooka the main person who gets dissed a lot in drill, got killed because of the hand sign he threw up not because he killed someone or something and he was only 15. There are a lot of people who are in gangs who have never killed anyone, I mean of course killing is apart of gang banging but you do realize there are people who are members of gangs who are literally anti violence and peace advocates in their communities right?

As a 12 year old kid you’re from a neighborhood where you can’t leave and the opposite gang is gonna treat you like a gang member no matter what you do and the only way to have any sorta protection from getting beat up or shot at is joining the neighborhood gang what do you think most kids are gonna do? A lot of the time they’re gonna join the gang sure they have a choice but not much of a choice and even if they choose not to join the gang they can still get killed because of the gang it happens all the time, death by association and they have no control over that
Of course so they do have a choice it’s just from their perspective the rational choice IS joining the gang for the sake of pure survival

I dont agree with gang violence but i can see where it comes from and what causes it.

That’s not really your place to do, I mean you can probably tell but you never really know what crimes people are doing unless they get caught doing it
Of course being a violent gang member isn’t good but even then there are some scenarios that make sense
Like if you see someone you know is gonna kill you so you kill them, yes its bad to kill but that’s not black and white wrong
Or even more conflicting than that, someone might not be a direct threat to you but they killed your best friend, and you kill them yes its wrong but you see how that can get conflicting?
Abuse I see a lot of reasons it can happen but at the end of the day its all wrong, theres more nuisance to gang violence but of course its still wrong and shouldnt be glamorized
