Palestine’s UN envoy, Riyad Mansour, stated during an emergency UN Security Council (UNSC) meeting that the Israeli occupation has "instrumentalized" the Holocaust memory to rationalize crimes against humanity.

Instead of serving as "an un-breachable barrier against the commission of such atrocities," Mansour insisted that it is being used as a justification for these actions.

He remarked, "Something terrible is happening in Israel, something that has made justifying genocide, famine and gang rape mainstream ideology." This UNSC meeting was convened by Algeria in response to "Israel's" massacre in the al-Tabieen School in Gaza City.

Mansour further criticized "Israel", asserting that it "does not care about your condemnations. It dismisses your resolutions. It does not even listen to your debates… Israel is a rogue state, with a rotten government due to the unbridled impunity it has enjoyed so far."
