The israeli military has halted leave for all combat units, called up reservists, and blocked GPS coordinates in the country as Iran threatened retaliation for deadly strikes on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria on Monday.

"By the situational assessment, it has been decided that leave will be temporarily paused for all israeli army combat
units," the military said in a statement, adding it was "at war and the deployment of forces is under continuous assessment according to requirements".

The israelis have not officially claimed responsibility for Monday's attack on the consulate as per usual behaviour, but no one seriously doubts it was them, Al Jazeera's Rory Challands reports.

Iran doesn't doubt it, which is why it has threatened reprisals.

The israelis are taking the Iranian threat pretty seriously. They have called up reservists to man air defence arrays because the threats are presumably perceived as coming primarily from missiles or drones.

Adding to that, there are reports from across the country of jamming on israeli GPS, done by the israeli military to disrupt any drone or missile strikes. A call has also gone out to israeli embassies and consulates around the world to beef up their security.

The attack and rhetoric have raised concern that israel's war on Gaza threatens to escalate across the region.

🚨 The UN Human Rights Council adopted this morning a resolution to ban arms exports to the zionist entity with a majority of 28 votes and the objection of 6 countries.

The countries that opposed the Human Rights Council's decision are the two largest arms exporters to the entity, the United States and Germany, as well as Paraguay, Malawi, Bulgaria, and Argentina.

In addition, the Human Rights Council voted by a majority of 28-6 in favor of a resolution calling for the accountability of "israel" for possible war crimes in Gaza.

Canada and Wallonia in Belgium are some regions that have already cut exports to the zionist entity since October 7th.

  3- At 17:35, targeted the Samaqa site in the occupied Lebanese hills of Kfar Shuba, and hit it directly.

• Western sector:
  1- At 0:50, targeted a movement of enemy soldiers and vehicles in the Al-Malikiyah site with artillery shells and rocket weapons, achieving confirmed hits.
  2- At 12:00, targeted the espionage equipment at the "Zarit" barracks with appropriate weapons, achieving direct hits.
  3- At 14:15, targeted a group of “israeli” soldiers positioned in a building in the “Admit” settlement with appropriate weapons achieving confirmed hits.
  4- At 15:05, targeted the "Hadab Yaroun" site with artillery shells, hitting it directly.

The realist part of me thinks this is an empty gesture meant to preempt the Iranian military response

I honestly believe Pelosi and all them are outraged by what happened to the aid workers, only because the people that died this time were white.
