humbled. major L for jolani's goons.

    Thank god

Edit: actually…I don’t like the idea of it not being completely part of the central government since Israel can (and probably will) exploit the situation…but let’s see

I don’t think this type of political repression would work here tbh

damn, this "rafa model" is nuts. just flattening entire cities/towns and moving citizens to "humanitarian zones".

i've tried to stay away from this topic tbh as I have no cultural/heritage connection so my knowledge is vague, but regardless of sides flattening peoples homes, jobs, businesses etc and telling them they can't come back is wild.

insane. this is the same government that repeatedly told people that "the left" would steal your freedoms and were trying to censor you. now here we are with trump saying boycotting tesla is illegal and trying to make it illegal to boycott based on political/religious/cultural beliefs

    Thoughts?

Don't have time to cross check this entire video but seems like there may be a growing movement (or at least growing in terms of being heard) around anti-hamas & anti-israel within palestinians.

IOF is apperently heated about this bc Trump didn't negotiate to end attacks against the zionist entity

palestinians overwhelmingly support Hamas and the armed movement. most of the protests have been directed at Israel, which then attempts in their propaganda to frame them all as "anti-hamas".

we are with hamas today, we are with hamas tomorrow, we will not capitulate our armed struggle

Idk who this guy is but anybody saying palestinians don't support the armed struggle is a liar and a zionist

also who cares anyway? even if the populist position was "state building" (it isnt) you should militarily oppose israel on principle.

im not diving to deep into this mostly because I know I am uninformed compared to others. but i think there is still a valid reason to oppose continued conflict on either side.

    pcpsr.org/en/node/997

Looking at this link here it looks like someone isn't being entirely truthful as this poll shows support for Hamas although in the Gaza strip it is down to only 1/3rd of the population roughly.

  • also the optics of sending THAT many people (not organizations!) to the brig over a choice would be

you cannot "oppose continued conflict" because "continued conflict" is the result of the occupation, it can only end when the zionist entity has been eliminated

again stop caring what these polls say, it doesn't matter. the occupation is the root of the conflict. sometimes you have to do what is scientifically necessary.

isnt that the same mentality israel has though? that the war is only done when hamas is eliminated and gaza is theirs?

based on what you're saying, seems like both sides believe that the issue can only end when the other side is eliminated and no one wins from that unfortunately, thats a lot of death of innocent people.

sorry and no offense but unfortunately you're just straight wrong, israel is a settler colony and it's existence is premised on the idea of stealing arab land. palestine is a historically constituted indigenous nation.

you can't have peace with a "country" that exists to displace arabs with white europeans. I would recommend reading any of Ilan Pappe's books on Israel, you simply don't have the knowledge rn to be talking about this and frankly it's dangerous when this site really is infested with white supremacists and zionists. no disrespect.

i appreciate you being honest with me and giving me resources.

i guess im just looking at it from the perspective of "how do we stop innocent people dying now" and not "how do we fix centuries of israel settlement", especially when israel is now openly admitting to wanting to ethnically cleanse palestine (occupy and force people to move)

its not really these countries so much as their governments. egypt and jordan have normalization agreements on paper with israel. it's actually become a problem because a) so many palestinians already live in these countries and b) their is still a sense of solidarity between regular arab people in the region. so much so that the jordanian monarchy had to ban the largest pro-palestinian political party in the country about a week ago because it was becoming a threat.

ppl can correct me if im wrong but it seems to be one of those situations where the leadership in a given country is making power plays with other powerful/coercive forces while the populace is supportive of an entirely different course of action

All the while there is still usually a sizeable amount of the population that does support the leadership for whatever reason.

Depending on where you're from there's probably some example of that that u can also relate to,

For example if you've ever seen polling in America one thing that comes to mind is when they say "79% of Americans support XYZ" but you see both major US parties being against "XYZ" issue perhaps because of their donors' interests/class interests, its similar vibes but this isn't a one-to-one comparison
