which part? I figured that the Baath party would be forced out of the system. that the Bakdash party hasn't been banned is promising but only if they move into a phase of principled opposition to the new government.

    This part

Assuming they create a fully democratic country, I can see these parties forming coalitions and have power.

I doubt they'll ever form a majority against islamist movements but you never know

the system was already "democratic" by bourgeois standards and there's no real sign that al-qaeda plans on relinquishing any sort of monopoly on power or forming any sort of popular democratic system. (elections in Idlib for example were a total sham, whereas the Syrian elections were internationally monitored and by the standards of the UN totally fair).

the suspension of the constitution and parliament will likely continue without the intervention of a left-wing opposition to al-qaeda.

What's the point of having a revolution based on "democracy" if you aren't gonna create a democratic state in the end. Lol

what happened over the past two weeks was not a "revolution" and all the window dressings about "democracy" are for the CNN cameras. al-qaeda did what they were told by their imperialist puppet masters, which was to overthrow the government and prepare ye the way for the turks and zionists to carve up the country how they see fit. now that they did their part they will just as quickly be discarded.

who is always left out of the equation when talking about this is the syrian proletariat, who had no voice in the old system and will continue to lack one in the new system (with the added disadvantage of the nation being destroyed).

I'm just saying that the Syrian people are celebrating their "freedom from dictatorship". Put them in another form of dictatorship, they'll notice lol.

I'm simply asking how will HTS achieve that. They don't even have the Army or intelligence to force it into the people the same way Sisi's Egypt did for example.

They gonna lock people in Sednaya prison for protesting after having a huge media coverage of liberating it? Lol

Under the guise that they were "Assad collaborators". Its f***ed up, but I doubt they'll be able to continue doing this for years to come if people started protesting a new dictator rule.

correct, al-qaeda is setting up the Syrian people for a failed state, at which point the IOF will declare that they have no choice but to annex everything west of the Euphrates for "national security purposes" against "Islamic fundamentalism" (which they openly funded).

if their is to be opposition to this plan, if Syria as a nation is to be preserved -- this will require a communist strategy to mobilize Syrians in a protracted people's war against al-qaeda, IOF land grabs, as well as NATO occupation (who are all working in concert). the old path of clinging to the Baath party for relevancy will no longer work, nor will tailing this new zionist comprador bourgeois ruling class that is openly fascistic.

Can you imagine. Leading a resistance against occupation of your land. Being able to evade that occupations army for 4 years while inflicting damage to them.

Only to be killed by the hand of your so called authority that was suppose to represent you. The definition of betrayal.

F*** the Palestinian authority. Palestinians worst enemy after the Israeli occupation.
