A lot of reasons, many of which are based in fact, and others that are a bit more conspiratorial:

(anyone can add on to this or critique this if they'd like)

1. Resources - gas and natural resources in Gaza could generate hundreds of billions of dollars. If you think people like Musk, Bezos, etc have money and influence, just look up major Oil families and the history of how they rose to power and influence.

2. Money - We essentially are living in a time of, "forever wars," where hundreds of billions, if not trillions of dollars are slushed around from buddy to buddy. We were in Iraq & Afghanistan for what...20+ years? Why not continue enriching our elite here by helping our, "greatest ally," by sending billions of dollars to them so that they can, in turn, funnel that money back to US by purchase of defense systems, missiles, weapons, etc.. Per CFR, "Most of the aid—approximately $3.3 billion a year—is provided as grants under the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program, funds that Israel must use to purchase U.S. military equipment and services."

Continuing the point of (2), that money is being spent on those items I mentioned from Raytheon, Boeing, Haliburton, Palantir, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, & NG. Who invests in those companies? Who are the largest shareholders/stakeholders? Who runs those companies? What politicians are lobbied by those companies? You can look all that up.

3. Western imperialism - Israel is essentially just an extension of the United States, and in ways, England. I dont think I'd say this is a REASON, rather most of the reasons funnel up under this umbrella.

3. Fear of Middle East unification amongst Arab states & further digging our claws into the area.

4. Biblical nonsense - You can look this up. It is a reason, but not the sole reason. This just makes it easier to manufacture consent from the general public.

5. Money (yes, again!) - What will need to be done once you've completely demolished entire states, countries, territories, lands, etc.? REBUILD. I don't think I need to expand upon that, but you can imagine who is extremely eager to help, "invest," and "rebuild," the area (think Blackrock, Vanguard, State Street, and then you can toss in big banks too). Jared Kushner did say Gaza's waterfront property could be, "very valuable,". So imagine all the ways in which money will exchange hands to help, "rebuild".

6. Research - You are baring witness to a mass extermination of people in one of the most densely populated areas in the world (Gaza), largely by use of AI & LLM weapon systems & drone warefare. This allows the US to use the Palestinians as guinea pigs for this new era of warfare. Some of these tools are created by Israel, others by the US. We are able to research and understand and fine tune how these systems work and operate and get real world results.

I could come up with many more, but that should give you a decent understanding. All of it is bad, none of it is good.
