this is just typical "international realism" bs. fascists are not ideologically coherent actors and nation-states do not act in a perfectly rational manner, they are compelled by the laws of inter-imperialist competition. furthermore, it has been understood forever that imperialists are split on the existence of israel, with one faction believing a zionist entity is the most efficient vehicle for furthering the US military's strategic goals for the middle east and another seeing the existence of Israel as a fetter on the creation of efficiant gulf neocolonies and the free flow of finance capital to the region.

there is no one unified "imperialist" position on Israel, to believe that would be abandoning Leninism for Kautskyite "superimperialist" nonsense.

Well yes im using realism because my point is the israel lobby is causing us to act in an irrational way. Which is the whole reason as to why there needs to be a lobby in the first place. This is the same case for the iraq war which the lobby clearly supported.
As for your second point, obviously the latter is true because theres way more evidence than for the former. What has israel done except for creating more and more groups like hezbollah and hamas and preventing normalization among the gulf countries

imperialism is not "rational" and nation-states do not act as rational actors, they are compelled by the laws of inter-imperialist competition. the only rational system of human organization is socialism which has its own motivators separate from the imperialist system.

I feel like I'm just repeating myself at this point so I would recommend reading Imperialism by Lenin and Ilan Pappe's work on the history of zionism at the very least so that this conversation could be slightly more constructive.
