NobodyWinsKilling civilians is not good
I mean yeah. There's a lot of conflicts going on where civilians are dying and that sucks.
And there are reasons why those conflicts are happening and people in power who stand to gain from them as well

Type of narrative is used as a stereotype against any "foreign" seeming people fighting to make them seem like savages and dehumanize them
Unfortunately rape is used as a weapon of war in a lot of conflicts id be surprised if there are some where it doesn't happen at all.
But it is used as a way to be racist. Similar way it was used against black people in the US and similar way Trump used it against Mexicans, it has also historically been used against jews and arabs depending on when and where, probably any enemy that people were trying to paint as "uncivilized" and so on
