where they protested, and were killed

where their government shut down the internet, and they continued protesting for months, and were still killed

but eventually, like in countries such as Bangladesh, the civil unrest became too much for the government to handle after 3 weeks of Internet blackout following months of student unrest due to jobs that the government stood down finally

while the opposite occurred in countries like Tanzania where the leader caused an internet blackout due to social unrest of her controlling elections. the blackout allowed her military to kill people and force them back inside their houses, control the elections and the land, and give people a choice either we stay in black out and i keep killing you if you try to stand up, or you accept me as your leader and we keep this s*** pushing, you get your internet back and get to go make money and live a normal life.

the leaders control both sides and both outcomes unless we stand apart and let it burn as they can’t get the person in office out of office as the opposition is compromised or murdered in a blackout…or during civil protests…Death and violence are the only options remaining when it’s time for change they won’t allow us to have, and until then, we will remain in this perpetual state of hopelessness even if they do turn off the internet because, again, unless the military stands with it people when it occurs, we will be controlled in a blackout as we pursue civil unrest. damned if you do, damned if you don’t. that’s what they want, but we have to leave this tool entirely and create new ways of thinking if we want to see the change we truly desire

From what I’ve been reading it’s split opinions, there’s probably as many people who wanted this as there are who didn’t.

There isn’t a clear opposition party or leader with enough support to take control of the government though so IMO all that’ll happen is either the current regime regroups and continues to fight Israel and the USA, or the country will fall into the hands of the military who seem to be loyalist anyway and so nothing will change for ordinary people.

That could all change though if Israel and the US put boots on the ground which would be political suicide for Trump (who wouldn’t care anyways) and the Republican Party (who would care as it’ll impact them as a post-Trump party).
