IDK if you are aware but Trump spent almost all of 2025 gutting public health and social services

Dismantled humanitarian treatments for HIV, AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis in 2025 which has killed an estimated ~500,000 ppl already, the majority of deaths being children

Plus ~163,500 from dismantling food aid programs, leaving over 1,000,000 untreated for severe acute malnutrition

One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2026 with over $1 Trillion in cuts to Medicaid and other health programs, leading to ~51,000 preventable deaths annually from coverage losses, delayed care, and reduced access

Defunded the FDA, CDC and SAMHSA leading to preventable deaths from outbreaks like measles, listeria & e-coli, d*** overdoses, and suicides

Cut SNAP impacting ~4,000,000 people including children and seniors, projected to cause 93,000 premature deaths through 2039 from increased hunger and health complications

All of this is projected to increase, with these cuts potentially contributing to ~14,000,000 excess deaths worldwide by 2030

    It’s all performative

The Dems did nothing to mount any resistance to this because this is bipartisan

The exec has been loopholing around congress for military operations since WW2, everyone knows this

This is probably politically better for Dems in their mind anyways as the Republican admin starts another ME forever war admist an economy teetering on recession. Then they can campaign of being the “rational, mature” option for th management of American imperialism and a “return to form” for the rules based order

  • Hormuz straight closing couldn’t have come at a better time for the west tbh, massive oil glut right now so impact on price will be minimal
