Why is it a silly reason though? Internal turmoil, jailing of opposition leaders, multiple militant separatist movements, war with India, etc are not minor things. And even more important, Pakistan is not vehemently opposed to US imperialism. I wish they were, but they're just not. They have always played both sides and will continue to do so imo

Yes they may sabotage them or make the nation take their eye off the ball. But using that as reason for a country to not step in to a conflict would make no country have ever stepped into any conflict

I’m not saying they’ll wholly invest in or be the tipping point of this conflict, I’m saying it’s a silly reason because you could use that reason for every country that has ever been to war

I’m also not saying they 100% will throw their hat in the ring. I’m saying logically and strategically all of these countries have plenty reason to involve themselves long term
