You can absolutely drop consistently and still have hype, it just depends on your arrangement with the label and your work ethic obviously. I think the idea that "hype" needs to be done over time is an idea TDE has fed its fanbase to believe as the norm when it's not.

I think that would be fine if it was clear that he was dropping soon. Like I said they tried by dropping singles that one year. I don't think people are really looking for Rock rn and honestly TDE's formula and the way they go about releasing music is really dumb.

I think the culture around music has changed so people's relationship around the musicians and art they make has also changed. To me at least, it is not out of the ordinary to expect music from people who make music for a living. Obviously they're not robots but I don't think some people understand how rare it is for someone to be an artist and release that music 5 years at a time. I haven't lost sight of their humanity either. S***, most of us has become fans because of the content of the music. I obviously want the best for them or whatever.
