That album still sounds fresh to me whenever I put it on. It's one of the few true classic albums of that decade, in my opinion.

Still think these 4-5 year album periods are insane for an artist like Rashad. Could totally understand if he was producing and writing like an Earl, but all he has to do is go through a few concepts before picking a direction. Or at a minimum pick beats and rap.

He's one of the few artists I understand with these long ass waiting periods D*** issues, baby momma drama, that video leaking. Nigga been through a lot. Plus he seems to have the same perfectionist s*** SZA seems to suffer from

  • Need him to lock in for this next one though. THIB was pretty disappointing, even more so after I heard the M4DV leaks

I wonder how much of this is TDE rather than the perfectionist s*** because if we being real I feel like every TDE artist takes a long ass time to drop projects

It kinda makes sense though. Especially if you think about that run when he dropped singles for a whole year. They realized there's no demand for jay rock and his whole style is kinda too antiquated so there's no reason to drop at the moment. They know the only audience he has are essentially TDE fans

I honestly just think TDE doesn't pressure artists to drop at all. The formula of not dropping trash and having the hype build up over time works really well. If Isaiah Rashad was dropping every year none of us would be checking for him anymore tbh

what would be wrong with dropping even a tape or EP though?
