streams and sales are being brought up but realistically how much were they projecting for Zay? he's been gone 5 years and he's never been mainstream/popular. he's gonna sell what he's gonna sell regardless so i don't buy that...

i understand from his recent interviews that they have a vision and goal for this album but what steps were being taken to achieve that? is just an open release day supposed to get it done? lol i'm just wondering the gameplan.

I don’t think TDE realizes they’re actually making the sales/streams component of this even WORSE by continuing to blueball fans. People lose interest eventually, and even if they don’t lose interest, hype dies out and you have to restart the whole cycle.

I mean they had to have seeing as zay is on a major now. The song didnt even chart. I get what he was trying to do but with him having a dedicated fanbase it makes more sense to stick to strengths that got him the fanbase in the first place.

I dont know if tyler would have taken the spotlight away. Tyler will do well regardless and honestly doesnt even need a single at this point in his career.
