nah i’m not f***ing ok with this
this man can’t drop music i love so much, disappear for four years, preview what sounds like one of his best songs ever, and then just never drop it
i’m furious
Someone break into the tde offices and steal this
Should wait for the album to drop before starting to complain about tracks not making it
Who is that white boy

Confused why it wouldn’t make the album

Hopefully it's a loosie like Smile
This s*** so damn hard man lmao
It's unfortunate that they fumbled his career like this.
this is zay’s personal issue. tde clearly let the artists decide when they wanna drop, which is good for the artist, but if they’re not completely happy with it then they wont release it and it doesnt benefit us as fans
if he was signed with a major then he probably would’ve had to release something. q is signed to a major and is on record saying he did loads more albums before crash talk, hence the name of the album. wouldn't surprise me if the major finally was like ‘you gotta give something’

I get having "quality control" standards in place, but taking 4 years to follow up TST killed any momentum he had. I think he's immensely talented, sometimes it's on the label and producers they employ to get the most out of the artist.

Except mad people are waiting for him.
He has real fans
Momentum is for guys like lil baby, roddy rich, dababy- The new-age rich homie quans of the world. The ones who won’t be here in two years or you won’t be checking
People are checking for zay

I disagree with the notion that taking advantage of momentum is only important for one-hit-wonders, or similar types of artists.

idk man cos ppl wrote off sza when we were waiting for ctrl (just over 3 years), and that overperformed tbh
i wonder if they’re tryna do the same thing with zay where they get a major involved to distribute it before releasing. as impatient as i am, im still gonna listen to it, and yeah he wont be a megastar like kendrick, but ppl will still check for him. its hard to say what kind of career he wants. some want the stardom and legacy. some just wanna stay lowkey and release an album when they want
