releasing a single without any album info after 5 years is not being pushed correctly
you really a one issue voter bro. i respect it lmao
anyway this might be true from a listener perspective, or at least a subset of listeners, but doing singles is sometimes a wise decision commercially

SINGLE
Edit: This is the song apparently
!https://youtu.be/3uzz-fslCE8I'm cool with this being the lead single lol sounds like the kinda banger Zay would make if he had/wanted to I can dig it
Yeah I love Kendrick's adlibs
But I'm sure Jay Rock didn't think about the song much and then the label thought it would be a smash for some reason and made it his lead single
tbf kings dead probably did the best out of any jay rock song 1st week
hood gona love it did numbers off GTA tho
that song is literally what got me into kendrick
wait why are people complaining? that snippet sounds fire as f*** lmao esp w those memphis chopped vox in the back
they could've found a recording of jesus and chopped it into that s*** and it still would've sounded lazy
doesn't sound much better than a lot and that was the worst song on tst
yes tde is known for making albums where every song sounds different
but seeing that lil uzi is on the album and the single sounding like this is a red flag for me lol
I'm sure they're going towards more of a mainstream-ish sound for this album, now at this point we only have to pray that its good quality and not like say Crash Talk

i would say not in this era and not for an artist like rashad. really the only way i can see releasing a single being advantageous is if it comes with an album release date. but i have also been anti single for literally over a decade
at this point the listeners choose singles for you.
You guys might be onto something though with TDE's pattern of single being super commercial but album cuts sounding drastically different. They really implemented the DAMN formula with all these recent albums lol
same goes for CrasH Talk with CHopstix sounding like nothing else on the rest of the album
that album is still super underrated tho in general

Uzi is on the album?
Uzi is on the album?
Yeah that one sounds like cap tbh lmao
Yep on the new version of Garden
Well I hope that if Uzi is on there that means Zay really thought he belonged and this isn't something where they tried to shoehorn in a more popular artist.
where are y'all getting this info btw?
Yep on the new version of Garden
Where you hear that at?
Yeah that one sounds like cap tbh lmao
pretty sure thats one of the thngs we're sure about
but idk someone needs to send that pic of the vieos being filmed and see if lay with ya is one there with correct name to verify that info i guess

S*** they did it with GKMC Swimming Pools was the lead single off that album. They gotta formula when they want an album to pop lol
Hate to break it to ya, but it’s the remake that’ll be on the album with Uzi
btw i'm not a big uzi fan but he also ate his verse imo
i def love uzi so im keen af
@Electric
I'm tryna imagine Isaiah rapping like Uzi
from the garden sounds generic as hell too and it's on the album please kill me
nah you buggin now
bcos he has mainstream appeal if he gets pushed correctly
TDE the label gonna f*** up the rollout for sure tho
I don't think he has mainstream appeal. If they were concerned about that they would drop loosies not singles.

i mean jcole does so zay could too really

J Cole built up his base with his mixtapes and releasing almost every year. Plus Cole has struggled in the mainstream, its.not.like he is out here.blowing.up the charts
Isaiah will lucky to be Freddie Gibbs or currency. And that should be OK. He will have q great career once he continues to put.put out great music.

man cole sells, like a lot
both of them arent 1st week sales artists but they get catalog money
but zay def gonna sell more than gibbs and currency IMO, the music is way more accessible
4 da squad has double bottom of the bottle strams (curren$y at his most mainstream) and wats wrong has almost 100mil streams all on spotify
freddie gibbs even less but his albums do well on all songs really
anyway id bet at least 40k if its pushed badly and up to 80k if he has a single with traction (i dont think he will IMO)
