Came out early 2020s in an off period where there wasn't that much to get excited for. It's a good project I like it a lot but doubt anybody holds it that high anymore

If we being real a lot of that was hype of the moment because he finally dropped and niggas felt like he was gonna have his mainstream "they finally caught on to Zay" moment. Like the whole Zay discord kinda just died off when the album came out cause the hype of him dropping ended up being bigger than the actual album

he didnt have any of his og niggas on thib neither from cilva demo n prior of production n engineering
some of them were on sun's and then none at all for thib
but yeah, u probably seen me say it before, but cilvia demo along with the waters by mick are such two special and unique rap projects that both artists basically gave up on after their release - iirc, they both had a similar scare for themselves of trying to reach the heights of those projects so thats why they just when all the way left with it since then
those sounds, style and structure is so wild and different to this day

It was also cause the “big hit” (headshots) that came out after the snippet died immediately cause everything after that 1st verse was literally him rapping nonsense (AGAIN)
He said he freestyled most of the album and boy does it sound like it. I hope rappers stop doing that

Mick caught a 2nd wind since pieces of a man dawg you bugging
Isaiah is one of those artists I just kinda love anything they do, so I played the hell out of THIB that late summer/fall.
But I do think he can do way better and hopefully does. The kinda sleepy mumbly, super layered, super filtered vocal stuff works on some songs but it gets a bit tiring on that album when going back to it.
RIP young is song of the life
And lay wit ya, all herb, claymore, headshots, true story, Chad, score, THIB all still good imo.

thats almost 10 years ago now :scary: and imo still doesnt have the "cinematic" quality of Waters
but it was dope and still closer than anything else isaiah done after, and THEMpeople one of the best producers that rarely ever get mentioned

I f***ed wit that album heavy when it dropped and a lot of my friends did also.. some that actually didn’t like TST much… for
Me Zay ain’t drop a wack project yet. And him saying this is encouraging that he might be on one for the next drop.
Just don’t take another 3 years to drop gang
I still fw the album overall but to put it bluntly, he is just bullshitting on a lot of them songs. Time to rap, Isaiah!
